Jameel Mohammed has been named the first-ever recipient of the Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award, a groundbreaking initiative celebrating exceptional American jewelry designers who champion inclusivity in the industry. Along with a $50,000 prize, Mohammed will embark on a one-year paid fellowship with Tiffany & Co.’s design department. The award was announced during an intimate cocktail reception at Tiffany’s iconic Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, attended by leaders in fashion and design.
This accolade marks the culmination of a four-month mentorship program, where 10 participants engaged with Tiffany’s design team and explored themes of innovation, sustainability, and brand identity. Mohammed expressed his excitement about joining the prestigious House, reflecting on Tiffany’s legacy as an emblem of American luxury.
