The First Exhibition – 20 Years of Contemporary Fashion Evolution, on view at the ITS Arcademy until 4 February 2024, offers an exceptional opportunity to explore unique early creations by accomplished fashion, accessory and jewelry designers from the past two decades. Among them are Balenciaga creator Demna, Bottega Veneta creator Matthieu Blazy and Richard Quinn, who in 2018 became the first designer to receive the design award established by Queen Elizabeth II. The exhibition features a wide range of around 100 garments, accessories, photographs and creative projects. These represent different regions of the world. The selection has been meticulously curated by Olivier Saillard, a renowned fashion historian and curator.
The collection is unique in the world, consisting exclusively of exceptionally rare early pieces by renowned design talents. It provides a distinctive insight into their creative worlds in the early stages of their careers – artistic, unconventional and groundbreaking, free from commercial constraints. It includes 14,758 portfolios, 1,089 garments, 163 accessories, 118 jewelers and over 700 photographic projects, collected over twenty editions of the ITS Contest, a prestigious global contemporary fashion competition. At last, these treasures are being made available to the public.
