The Wichita Museum of Art presents Annie Leibovitz/Work, an exhibition of photographs by renowned artist Annie Leibovitz. After a successful debut at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, the project continues its tour in Wichita, Kansas. The exhibition runs from May 19th to September 1nd 2024.
Over the past fifty years, Annie Leibovitz has established herself as one of the foremost portrait photographers in the United States and the world. Annie Leibovitz/Work features new and rarely-seen photographs alongside Leibovitz’s best-known works. The exhibition includes portraits of celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Dolly Parton, Cindy Sherman, LeBron James, Shonda Rhimes and Simone Biles, as well as heartfelt, intimate portraits of everyday Americans. Including both physical photographs and digital representations, this project offers an expansive view of Leibovitz’s career and artistic vision.
