Preserving the Brain

The Preserving the Brain, running from October 16th, 2024, to April 7th, 2025, focuses on preventing neurodegenerative diseases. Organized by Fondazione Prada in partnership with 15 leading neuroscience institutes and five Italian patient organizations, the event includes a scientific conference and an exhibition aimed at fostering awareness about early prevention and treatment for conditions like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS. The conference, led by Giancarlo Comi at Fondazione Prada’s Cinema Godard in Milan, will feature sessions on key topics such as genetics, brain plasticity, and the impact of environmental factors.

Renowned institutions such as Harvard Medical School and the Paris Brain Institute are part of the program, bringing together top researchers and healthcare professionals. In addition to the conference, the accompanying exhibition, designed by 2×4 studio, explores scientific data and prevention strategies through eight thematic sections. A series of meetings and discussions, scheduled from November 2024 to April 2025, will involve patient associations and public figures, offering workshops, film screenings, and panel discussions.

Miuccia Prada, President of Fondazione Prada, emphasized the need for dialogue between the scientific community and the broader public, particularly the younger generation, to raise awareness of brain health.
