A new exhibition reveals Juergen Teller’s most personal visual diary

From April 13th to November 23rd, 2025, the historic Palazzo Giardino in Sabbioneta will host 7 1/2, a major solo exhibition by Juergen Teller. Presented in the Galleria degli Antichi and the Sala degli Specchi, the exhibition offers the most intimate look yet into the celebrated photographer’s recent work.

Curated by Mario Codognato, 7 1/2 traces Teller’s creative evolution through deeply personal images shaped by his collaboration with his wife and artistic partner, Dovile Drizyte. Their joint practice, known for its raw honesty and disarming humor, captures moments of vulnerability and absurdity with equal weight. Among the highlights are large-format portraits that challenge conventional beauty, and narrative photo sequences that blur the lines between private life and staged performance. Designed by Federico Fedel, the exhibition layout creates a striking interplay between contemporary photography and the grandeur of Sabbioneta’s Renaissance architecture. As Ezio Zani, Director of the Sabbioneta Heritage Foundation, notes, the show affirms the city’s growing presence on the international contemporary art scene.
