Absolut Haring: a limited-edition revival of Keith Haring’s iconic design

This year, Absolut Vodka revives a moment of pop art history with the launch of the Absolut Haring Artist-Edition bottle—a vibrant tribute to Keith Haring’s original 1986 Absolut poster. Nearly forty years after Haring first collaborated with the brand at the suggestion of Andy Warhol, the late artist’s unmistakable style returns in a collectible bottle that celebrates creativity, accessibility, and joy.

A legacy of art collaboration

Haring was the second artist invited to reimagine the Absolut bottle, joining the Absolut Art Collection, an initiative that between 1985 and 2004 brought more than 550 artists into dialogue with the brand. His four lithographs, now part of the Spritmuseum’s holdings in Stockholm, helped define Absolut’s bold entry into the art world. This new edition brings that legacy back to life, underscoring Absolut’s enduring commitment to art collaboration.

Absolut Keith Haring: from poster to bottle

The Absolut Keith Haring design transforms his playful poster into a three-dimensional object. The limited-edition bottle features a striking yellow backdrop with debossed red linework and Haring’s joyful dancing figures, set against the iconic blue Absolut logo. Around the neck, a hand-drawn version of the brand’s medallion honors founder L.O. Smith, while Haring’s signature appears on the shrink sleeve. Absolut describes the release as “a piece of kinetic art you can hold.”

A global celebration

The Absolut Haring Artist-Edition launches in global travel retail on July 1st, 2025, before rolling out to more than 40 markets worldwide—including the UK, Germany, Australia, Mexico, China, Italy, and Poland—from October 2025, for a limited time only. To mark the launch, Absolut will unveil eye-catching activations such as 3D billboards at major airports and a special pop-up vending machine at London Gatwick offering exclusive merchandise.

Honoring Keith Haring’s vision

For Absolut, the project continues Haring’s belief that “art is for everybody.” His street murals and subway drawings of 1980s New York sought to democratize art, a philosophy that resonates with Absolut’s own vision. As Deb Dasgupta, VP Global Marketing at Absolut Vodka, put it, Haring’s art radiated energy and hope, and this collaboration invites a new generation to celebrate that same spirit.

David Stark, founder and CEO of Artestar—the agency representing the Keith Haring Studio—emphasized that the release keeps Haring’s legacy alive. He noted that the bottle revives a project that meant as much to the artist symbolically as it did creatively, making it a fitting tribute four decades on.
