Kojima Productions announced ‘Physint,’ a next-generation action espionage game

Kojima Productions has lifted the curtain on its newest intellectual property, Physint, during its 10th anniversary Beyond the Strand event in Tokyo. The announcement revealed the first official poster and confirmed a star-studded cast featuring Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe. Positioned as an ambitious action espionage title, the project is being developed in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment.

‘Physint’ release date and development timeline

Although fans are eager, the Physint release date is still far on the horizon. Hideo Kojima explained that the game remains in early development, with much of the casting process ongoing. He estimated that the project may take another five to six years before completion, suggesting a tentative launch around 2030.

Blurring boundaries with cinematic gameplay

What sets Physint apart is its promise of cinematic gameplay—a seamless blend of filmic storytelling and interactive design. Kojima described the title as a “next-generation action espionage game” that pushes the boundaries of narrative immersion. While his earlier works, such as Metal Gear Solid, defined the stealth-action genre, Physint seeks to collapse the barrier between cinema and games entirely. The newly released poster, with its tagline “Here comes the feeling,” hints at a deeply emotional and atmospheric experience.

A New Chapter for Kojima Productions

For fans of Hideo Kojima and the espionage genre, Physint represents not just another game but a bold artistic experiment. With its ambitious timeline, innovative approach to cinematic gameplay, and the weight of Kojima Productions’ creative pedigree, the project is already positioned as one of the most anticipated titles of the next decade.
