The much-anticipated opening of Onassis Ready, the Onassis Foundation’s new multidisciplinary art space in Athens, begins with you are invited — a major photography exhibition by Juergen Teller. Running from October 19th to December 30th, 2025, the show marks a defining moment in the artist’s career, bringing together decades of his most provocative and intimate work.

Juergen Teller photos: a journey between the personal and the political

This expansive mid-career survey spans from the 1990s to today, showcasing Juergen Teller’s photos that blur the lines between fashion, art, and autobiography. Alongside his renowned portraits of cultural icons such as Kate Moss, Iggy Pop, and Charlotte Rampling, the exhibition presents new, previously unseen works that reflect Teller’s evolving engagement with the world. Recent projects — including his striking portraits of Pope Francis in a women’s prison at the 2024 Venice Biennale, and his haunting documentation of Auschwitz on the 80th anniversary of its liberation — underscore his ability to fuse intimacy with social awareness.

A notable section explores Teller’s collaborations with his wife, artist Dovile Drizyte.
