A synergy of fantasy and reality is implemented in The 888 House, a digital store that Ralph Lauren introduced recently. It’s inspired by the Joshua Tree desert landscape and presents the RL 888 handbag collection. Standing in a virtual desert landscape, the store mirrors the RL logo. The various rooms invite consumers to discover a space filled with sunlight, stones, and pieces of artwork. A digital store created using state-of-the-art Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) technology.
Going through the virtual concept store, consumers discover new models of handbags that are available in a variety of fabrications and leathers. The main source of inspiration for the RL 888 handbag collection was the iconic architecture of New York City. “I am inspired by the beauty of the natural world—a land of contradictions where sky and rugged terrain meet,” said Ralph Lauren, chief creative officer of Ralph Lauren Corporation.
