The Miu Miu Literary Club will return to Milan from April 22nd to 24th, 2026, unfolding within the vibrant cultural atmosphere of Salone del Mobile. Hosted at the historic Circolo Filologico Milanese, the fourth edition of the event continues the brand’s commitment to fostering dialogue between fashion, literature, and contemporary thought.
Politics of Desire: the 2026 theme
This year’s edition, titled Politics of Desire, explores themes of sexuality, consent, and emotional autonomy through the writings of two remarkable authors: Nobel Prize–winning French writer Annie Ernaux and Ghanaian novelist, academic, and former education minister Ama Ata Aidoo.
Across April 22nd and 23rd, a program of conversations, lectures, and live performances will bring together a community of interdisciplinary women—writers, thinkers, and artists—offering fresh perspectives on the work and legacy of these influential voices. On April 24th, the Literary Club will transform into a public reading room, inviting visitors to engage more quietly with the texts that inspired the discussions.
Guests attending the event will receive copies of Ernaux’s A Girl’s Story and Aidoo’s Changes: A Love Story, reinforcing the Literary Club’s mission to connect contemporary audiences with powerful literary narratives.
A cultural platform within Salone del Mobile
By staging the Miu Miu Literary Club during Salone del Mobile, the brand situates literature at the heart of Milan’s most dynamic creative week. The initiative reflects the house’s broader cultural program, which also includes projects such as the long-running Women’s Tales film series and collaborations with multidisciplinary artists.
The complete program for the 2026 edition will be revealed soon, with registrations opening on April 13th.
