Art Basel Hong Kong: Luca Pronzato and Lea Colombo create an immersive pop-up dining experience

During Art Basel Hong Kong 2026, Luca Pronzato has returned with the second Hong Kong pop-up from WE ARE ONA, created in collaboration with Lea Colombo. Taking place from 23rd to 25th March 2026 at Terrace Boulud by Mandarin Oriental, the project redefines the contemporary dining experience by combining art, design and gastronomy.

The dining experience as immersive art

Designed by Lea Colombo, the space is a vibrant, multi-sensory environment where colour, light and texture interact fluidly, almost cinematically. At its core is the ATOM TABLES collection — modular, sculptural forms inspired by the invisible architecture of connection. Built from intersecting shapes that evoke the balance of yin and yang, the tables function as both design objects and spatial choreography, transforming dining into a dynamic shared ritual.

Colombo’s signature aesthetic is unmistakable, characterised by bold chromatic contrasts, high-gloss finishes and a playful yet precise approach to form. Each colour carries an emotional charge, from grounding reds to expansive greens, creating a visual rhythm that mirrors human interaction. The result is an environment in which design becomes an experience, with every element contributing to a sense of movement and connection.

The project extends beyond furniture to include carefully curated details. An exclusive cutlery line developed with Sabre Paris and customised pieces by Artek reinforce the dialogue between craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Completing the experience, Daniel Boulud presents a menu that echoes Colombo’s visual language: layered, expressive and vibrant. His cuisine translates colour into flavour, culminating in a refined sensory journey that bridges art and gastronomy.

With Luca Pronzato’s curatorial vision at its core, WE ARE ONA continues to redefine the dining experience, positioning itself as a space where disciplines converge and art is not only observed, but experienced.
