Fashion and cinema move closer together as Dior and A24 announce a two-year creative partnership spanning film, theatre, live events and the wider arts. Conceived as a platform for artists and unexpected exchanges, the alliance begins at Cherry Lane Theatre, the historic Off-Broadway venue acquired by A24 in 2023. Dior will serve as its Premier Partner for the next two years, supporting jointly curated programmes that bring established and emerging creatives closer to new audiences.
The first project, Both Ends, marks the first anniversary of Cherry Lane Theatre’s reopening under A24. Starring artist Justin Vivian Bond and directed and produced by Zack Winokur, the one-off performance draws on the work of American poet and playwright Edna St. Vincent Millay, one of the theatre’s founders.
Fashion enters through Jonathan Anderson, Dior’s Creative Director, who designed costumes specifically for the performance. Bond will wear an archival piece by French designer Paul Poiret, whose connection to Millay runs deep: the poet wore his designs during her lifetime, while Poiret also influenced Anderson’s Dior Winter 2026 collection.
The partnership’s playful tone emerged in its launch film, directed by Aidan Zamari. Sabrina Carpenter, Camille Cottin, Josh O’Connor, Drew Starkey and Sophie Wilde imitate Anderson’s distinctive runway walk in his checked shirt and blue-jean uniform, creating a knowingly humorous take on luxury advertising.
