A new exhibition dedicated to the Italian luxury brand Prada has opened at the Start Museum in Shanghai, China. Entitled Pradasphere II, the retrospective traces the company’s history from its origins in 1913 to the present day, showcasing more than 400 artifacts from its fashion archives as well as its collaborations with artists, architects and designers.
The exhibition is curated by co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, who have chosen to present Prada’s heritage through a series of interconnected narratives. Visitors will encounter a variety of displays including garments, photographs and video installations that explore the brand’s enduring impact on fashion, art and culture.
Pradasphere II also features a workshop area where visitors can learn about the craftsmanship involved in creating the iconic Prada Galleria bag. The retrospective is accompanied by a café serving coffee, cocktails and Italian snacks, set against projections of fashion show spaces over the past decades.
This mesmerising exhibition will run until January 21.
