Apple has unveiled its first mass-timber store, Apple Miami Worldcenter, in the heart of Miami’s vibrant downtown district. Opened on January 24th, 2025, this innovative space blends Apple’s signature design ethos with Miami’s lush, tropical surroundings and Art Deco influences.
The standalone pavilion incorporates biophilic design principles, using locally sourced mass timber and low-carbon materials to minimize its environmental impact. Its curved perimeter roof and sculpted plaster walls play with light and shadow, echoing Miami’s iconic Art Deco architecture while creating a dynamic, inviting atmosphere.
Inside, the open layout features Apple’s signature tables, a Genius Bar, and a dedicated space for demonstrating the Vision Pro mixed-reality headset. Surrounding the store, a densely planted public space and a roof garden bring nature into the urban core, creating a seamless connection between the building and its environment.
This new store reflects Apple’s commitment to sustainability and accessibility, offering an eco-conscious shopping experience in a space designed to inspire.
