During Milan Design Week 2025, A-POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE debuts its collaborative lighting project with Swiss studio Atelier Oï, titled TYPE-XIII Atelier Oï. On view at the ISSEY MIYAKE Milan store from April 8th to 13th, the installation explores the meeting of textile and structure through the brand’s foundational idea of “a piece of cloth.”

This cross-disciplinary project reimagines light through two distinct series of sculptural lamps made from wire and fabric. The O Series, developed with Ambientec, features portable lights inspired by ikebana, crafted with pleated steam-stretch fabric that folds flat for transport. The A Series, made in partnership with Spanish lighting brand Parachilna, offers modular pendant lamps using seamless knit textiles that can be cut or joined into custom constellations.

Each design blurs the line between object and atmosphere, inviting users to shape light as they would arrange a room. The collaboration marks a new chapter for A-POC ABLE’s material innovation, bringing its fashion-rooted approach into the world of interiors. Atelier Oï and Issey Miyake’s months-long dialogue sparked a poetic design language that embraces transformation and tactility. Visitors are invited to experience the collection’s play of shadow and form in a space where fabric becomes luminous.
