Devialet and Uchronia turn sound waves into a world of colour at Paris Design Week 2026

For Paris Design Week 2026, Devialet has given Paris-based interior architecture studio Uchronia, founded by Julien Sebban, carte blanche to create La Chambre Bleue Devialet x Uchronia — a temporary installation where technology and creativity meet through colour, sound and sensory design. From September 15th to 19th, the installation occupies a space in Le Marais, offering a spatial interpretation of sound and the movement of acoustic waves.

A blue room where sound takes shape

Created around the launch of a new Devialet product, La Chambre Bleue translates sound waves into an architectural language. Uchronia turns its signature use of monochrome colour, texture and fluid forms towards acoustics, creating an intimate environment where light, material and sound intertwine.

The wave serves as the starting point, echoing a recurring motif in Uchronia’s vocabulary. Fluid lines trace the movement of sound through space, giving an invisible phenomenon a tangible visual presence. The result is a richly textured monochromatic setting where interior, object and acoustic experience begin to blur.

Where technology and creativity meet

Devialet and Uchronia share a vision of design that extends beyond an object’s conventional function. Colour, material, light and sound shape the environment, while an interactive installation invites visitors to create music, turning listeners into active participants.

A monochrome world in the heart of Le Marais

La Chambre Bleue Devialet x Uchronia takes place at 43 rue Charlot, 75003 Paris, from September 15th to 19th, 2026. It is open from 11am–5pm, closing at 4pm on Saturday, with free admission.

With La Chambre Bleue, Devialet and Uchronia approach design as something to be heard, seen and felt simultaneously. Their Paris Design Week collaboration gives an invisible force a physical language, creating a fluid blue world where acoustics become architecture and technology becomes sensation.
