From September 11th to 16th, 2024, LEGO will launch an exciting new project at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris: L’Atelier des Super-Pouvoirs. This immersive, interactive art gallery, curated with input from creative consultant Sarah Andelman, co-founder of the iconic concept store Colette, invites children and families to unleash their creativity with LEGO bricks while engaging with installations by renowned artists Aurélia Durand, Chen Fenwan and Ekow Nimako. The event is a unique opportunity to experience the magic of creativity through hands-on play and artistic collaboration.
At its heart, L’Atelier des Super-Pouvoirs is about empowering children and families to unleash their imaginations. Visitors will explore a range of activities from interactive games and collaborative art projects to free-form creative exploration, providing an experience that is both entertaining and educational. Under the creative direction of Sarah Andelman, the project seamlessly blends art and play, challenging traditional notions of gallery space.
LEGO’s vision for this initiative is to inspire creativity, foster connection and promote inclusivity by providing a safe and imaginative environment for families to engage in artistic expression. The project responds to research showing that many families lack access to safe play spaces and that children today have less time to play. By creating this space, LEGO emphasises the vital role of creative play in bringing people and communities together.
The family-friendly event is free and promises to inspire participants of all ages, reflecting LEGO’s commitment to innovation, social engagement and the transformative power of creativity.
