The LVMH Prize 2026 reasserts its influence as a key platform for young designers, unveiling nine finalists ahead of its September final. Following a highly selective semi-final held on 4th–5th March at La Samaritaine in Paris—where twenty designers were chosen from more than 2,400 applicants—the competition now moves into its final chapter. The winners will be announced on September 4th at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, where finalists will present their collections before an international jury.
A global stage for young fashion designers
This year’s shortlist reflects a wide-ranging and global perspective, spanning womenswear and genderless design. Among the finalists are Colleen Allen (United States), Gabriel Figueiredo (France), Galib Gassanoff (Georgia), Julie Kegels(Belgium), Zane Li (China), Petra Fagerström (Sweden), Harry Pontefract (United Kingdom), Daniel del Valle Fernandez (Spain), and Anil Padia (Kenya). Together, they represent a generation attuned to both craft and contemporary cultural narratives.
Support beyond recognition
Since its founding, the Prize has offered more than visibility. The main award includes a €400,000 grant and a year-long mentorship from LVMH teams, while the Karl Lagerfeld Prize and the Savoir-Faire Prize each provide €200,000 alongside professional guidance. Additional support extends to three fashion graduates, who receive funding and placements within LVMH Houses.
The final will be judged by leading figures including Jonathan Anderson, Sarah Burton, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Pharrell Williams, and Nigo, alongside Delphine Arnault. Their selection will consider not only design excellence, but also vision and long-term impact.
Shaping the next chapter
As Delphine Arnault notes, the 2026 finalists demonstrate both precision and individuality, with representation stretching from the United States and Europe to China and, for the first time, Kenya. The LVMH Prize continues to act as a decisive platform—bringing emerging talent into global focus and influencing the direction of contemporary fashion.
