MoMu x Fashion Department

The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, in collaboration with MoMu, the Fashion Museum Antwerp, has opened the exhibition MoMu x Fashion Department. The project showcases the cutting-edge designs and creative processes of the Academy’s fashion students.

Renowned for pushing the boundaries of design and art, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts attracts students from around the world, despite Antwerp’s peripheral location to major fashion capitals. The exhibition features a range of silhouettes, drawings and books, which are at the core of the students’ studies in Antwerp. These works reflect the students’ personal design universes, influenced by their stories, memories and the wider context of contemporary culture.

Curated and designed by Brandon Wen and Amir Torres, with graphic design by Ilias Mettioui, the exhibition aims to present a lively dialogue between fashion, art and society. MoMu x Fashion Department is celebrated for the Academy’s ability to guide students in conceptualising and materialising innovative collections.
