Launching on June 18th, RIMOWA Vitra 2025 marks the first collaboration between two iconic names in European design—RIMOWA and Vitra. Presented at the Fire Station by Zaha Hadid on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, this limited-edition collection will be on view through June 27th and reflects a thoughtful dialogue between mobility and spatial aesthetics.
The RIMOWA Vitra 2025 collaboration centers on two design-forward objects: the Aluminium Stool and the Aluminium Toolbox. Both pieces showcase the material precision and innovation for which these brands are known. The stool, set on RIMOWA’s signature Multiwheel system, transforms a simple cube into a sleek, mobile seat with a grooved aluminum shell and a removable cushion. Its interior is lined with Vitra design textiles and leather compartments, echoing the studio’s ergonomic sensibility.
Meanwhile, the Aluminium Toolbox updates Arik Levy’s 2010 Vitra design classic, now reimagined in anodized aluminum. It’s a striking blend of industrial strength and everyday functionality, tailored to contemporary creative lifestyles.
According to Nora Fehlbaum, CEO of Vitra, RIMOWA Vitra 2025 is a fusion of Vitra design intelligence with RIMOWA’s deep knowledge of motion and engineering. Hugues Bonnet-Masimbert, CEO of RIMOWA, highlights their shared values—craftsmanship, durability, and design integrity. Together, they offer objects that travel through space and ideas with equal ease.
Both pieces are manufactured between RIMOWA’s heritage site in Cologne and the Vitra Campus in Germany. The Aluminium Stool will be available in three colorways, while the Aluminium Toolbox will be sold in Europe on RIMOWA.com and globally on Vitra.com.
To accompany the launch, RIMOWA Vitra 2025 has also created a collectible sticker set, drawing from the visual vocabulary of both brands. Available online and at select RIMOWA stores starting June 18th, this detail rounds out a project that celebrates the best of Vitra design and RIMOWA’s mobile legacy.
