Samuel Ross x Zara

British designer Samuel Ross, known for his avant-garde approach to menswear, is embarking on a new creative chapter with Zara. His latest collaboration, SR_A Engineered by Zara, is a multi-season partnership that blends Ross’s architectural aesthetic with Zara’s global reach, offering a fresh perspective on modern dressing.

The collaboration, structured as a four-part series over two years, introduces two collections annually—Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. Unlike Ross’s past work with A-Cold-Wall*, this line embraces a softer, more organic design language while maintaining a focus on functionality. Drawing inspiration from nature, urban landscapes, and historical craftsmanship, the garments are designed to seamlessly integrate into contemporary life. The first collection, launching on February 6th, features 40 pieces, including outerwear, knitwear, and accessories in a muted palette of moss, indigo, and clay.

Ross describes the collection as a “garment system”—a modular wardrobe that prioritizes durability and versatility. “It’s about creating functional uniforms for modern living at a democratic price point,” he explains. The pieces incorporate subtle yet intricate details, inspired by Japanese design principles and the craftsmanship of ancient civilizations.

The launch is accompanied by a striking campaign featuring footballer Jules Koundé, photographed by Gabriel Moses. To mark the debut, select Zara locations in Milan, Madrid, and Paris, along with a dedicated pop-up in London’s Soho, will showcase the collection in immersive retail environments.

With SR_A Engineered by Zara, Ross continues to push the boundaries of fashion’s role in everyday life, blending artistry, innovation, and accessibility.
