Surreal illusions

Marc Jacobs celebrates the 40th anniversary of his eponymous brand by drawing inspiration from dolls, supermodel Twiggy and New York socialites. The Marc Jacobs Spring 2024 show, which took place on February 2 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York, featured Robert Therrien’s sculpture titled No title (folding table and chairs, beige). The sculpture consists of four oversized chairs and a card table. It created a surreal effect when models walked underneath it, offering a unique perspective on a familiar domestic scene.
