This fall, the heart of Hollywood will sparkle with the brilliance of Swarovski jewellery, as the Austrian crystal house brings its acclaimed Swarovski Masters of Light exhibition to Los Angeles. Following sold-out showcases in Vienna, Milan, Shanghai, and Seoul, the immersive exhibition lands in LA with a private event on October 28th and opens to the public from October 29th for a seven-day run.
Curated by British fashion journalist Alexander Fury and conceived by Swarovski’s global creative director Giovanna Engelbert, the exhibition marks the brand’s 130th anniversary. Through a series of visually stunning chambers, it offers a deep dive into Swarovski’s heritage, design innovation, and longstanding connection with Hollywood glamour.
‘Swarovski Masters of Light’: a dazzling celebration of crystal and creativity
Swarovski’s century-long relationship with cinema and fashion takes center stage in the Masters of Light Chamber. Visitors can expect to see crystal-embellished masterpieces from iconic fashion houses such as Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, and Saint Laurent. Alongside these couture creations are exquisite jewellery designs and even the largest crystal chaton ever produced — a testament to the house’s technical artistry.
In the Pop Icons Chamber, Swarovski’s impact on the music and entertainment world comes alive through shimmering stage costumes worn by Harry Styles, Rihanna, and K-pop group LE SSERAFIM. Particularly captivating are the customized microphones used in the group’s 2024 MTV VMA performance, each adorned with thousands of Swarovski crystals selected by the band members themselves.
The Time Chamber traces Swarovski’s evolution across three centuries, spotlighting key creative milestones and drawing from its treasured Heritage Collection. Meanwhile, the Future History Chamber presents a dialogue between legendary fashion collaborators and the emerging visionaries shaping beauty and identity through Swarovski crystal.
Another highlight is the Diamonds of the Future Chamber, where Swarovski Created Diamonds take the spotlight. Grown in laboratories through a process that compresses millennia into weeks, these lab-grown gems represent the brand’s next frontier in sustainable luxury.
In the Mathemagical Chamber, visitors enter a space where geometry and emotion meet, featuring experimental jewellery and home decor pieces. At the center, Swarovski’s couture designs for the 2024 Met Gala — envisioned by Engelbert herself — showcase the full spectrum of crystal innovation.
As Swarovski celebrates 130 years of craftsmanship, glamour, and innovation, the Swarovski Masters of Light exhibition in Los Angeles promises to be one of the most radiant Swarovski jewellery events of 2025. Whether you’re a fashion devotee, design lover, or crystal enthusiast, this immersive experience is not to be missed.
