Five of NYC’s most iconic dance companies — Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem — performed on one stage as the BAAND Together Dance Festival returned to Damrosch Park for five midsummer nights! From July 25–29, 2023, audiences experienced an exciting program curated collaboratively by the artistic directors of the companies. The BAAND Together Dance Festival was made possible by CHANEL, representing the third year of the House’s support of the Festival. Among Gabrielle Chanel’s core inspirations was flexibility of movement — she expressed her dedication to it throughout all her creations, including her collaborations with legendary choreographers during her lifetime. This partnership reflects CHANEL’s long-standing connection to and patronage within the world of dance, which has continued for over a century.
