Yesterday, December 10th, the Passion for Fashion auction by Kerry Taylor Auctions captivated attendees with its remarkable offerings, including two rare Jeanne Lanvin robe de styles from the 1920s and a stunning array of archival treasures. Among the highlights was Alexander McQueen’s personal diary, which provided an intimate glimpse into his creative process during his tenure at Givenchy. The diary, spanning the 1990s to 2001, revealed detailed sketches, fabric swatches, and inspirations ranging from African tribal dress to 18th-century European fashion.

“This is a unique window into McQueen’s genius, showcasing the meticulous thought behind his final haute couture collection for Givenchy,” said a spokesperson for the auction. The event also featured exclusive Polaroids and photographs, shedding light on McQueen’s design evolution and personal life. Proceeds from the auction were celebrated as a tribute to fashion’s enduring artistry, marking the occasion as a profound moment for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
