Visionary Journeys

Visionary Journeys

LV The Place Bangkok is an exciting new destination for the brand. The multi-faceted building includes an exhibition of the brand’s history, a café offering exclusive treats, and a store that blends men’s and women’s collections. The innovative design of the space features a striking diamond-shaped façade and seamlessly integrates retail, dining, and cultural elements. It offers visitors an immersive journey through the Louis Vuitton universe.

The ground floor of the building houses the Visionary Journeys exhibition, whose scenography concept was designed by OMA under the direction of Shohei Shigematsu. The project presents historic and contemporary pieces in themed rooms such as Trunkscape, Origins, Iconic Bags, Collaboration, and Souvenirs, offering visitors an immersive journey through Louis Vuitton’s history.

Trunkscape showcases the Courrier Lozine 90 trunk, with 96 trunks forming an arch surrounded by storytelling screens. Origins showcase the contributions of Maison’s founders in a hybrid display of artifacts and replicas. Iconic Bags showcases Louis Vuitton’s most iconic bags in acrylic bubbles to highlight their timeless design, while Collaboration presents collaborations that reimagine the Speedy and Keepall bags in chrome-dipped displays. Finally, the Souvenirs Room features an oversized vending machine filled with Louis Vuitton ephemera inspired by Bangkok’s night markets, with vibrant lighting and mirrored walls creating a playful atmosphere.
