A visionary step into the future

Sindalah, a luxury island resort in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM project, has officially opened, marking the first completed region within the expansive NEOM development. Located five kilometers off the Red Sea coast, the 840,000-square-meter resort was designed by Italian studio Luca Dini Design and Architecture, celebrated for its high-end superyacht designs. Dubbed the gateway to the Red Sea, Sindalah features an 86-berth marina and yacht club, catering to luxury travelers and yacht enthusiasts.

The resort offers hotels, restaurants, a beach club, golf club, retail spaces, and the exclusive Sindalah Yacht Club, with interiors by Stefano Ricci. Visitors have 440 rooms, 88 villas, and over 200 serviced apartments to choose from, all aimed at providing a premium experience.

Sindalah’s debut aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to elevate Saudi luxury tourism. NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr described the opening as a major milestone and the first of ten planned NEOM regions, positioning Sindalah as a model for future developments. By 2028, it aims to host up to 2,400 guests daily, enhancing Saudi Arabia’s appeal as a luxury destination. Amid controversies over human rights issues linked to NEOM, Sindalah offers a glimpse into Saudi Arabia’s grand vision for tourism and urban planning.
