Designer of Dreams

The Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition is now on view at the Saudi National Museum in Riyadh, running from November 21st, 2024, to April 2nd, 2025. Part of the Riyadh Season festivities, this landmark exhibition traces the legacy of Dior and its creative directors from the brand’s inception in 1947 to the present day.

Curated by art historian Florence Müller and scenographer Nathalie Crinière, the exhibition presents a compelling narrative of Dior’s influence on fashion, art, and culture. A highlight is the section inspired by the AlUla oasis, where designs reflect the interplay of desert landscapes and golden sunlight, merging heritage with modernity. Visitors can also enjoy the exclusive Dior Café, adding a touch of luxury to their experience.

The show features iconic creations such as the Miss Dior and J’adore designs, alongside a tribute to the Lady Dior bag through the Dior Lady Art Project. It also explores Dior’s connection to art, showcasing collaborations with renowned artists and pieces inspired by the natural world.

Additionally, the exhibition celebrates Dior’s history with royalty and Hollywood, displaying gowns worn by queens, princesses, and movie stars. This immersive experience offers a rare opportunity for fashion enthusiasts to witness the artistry and innovation behind one of the world’s most iconic fashion houses.
