Sotheby’s Paris has launched Attention, Fragile!, a unique exhibition and shopping experience curated by the visionary Sarah Andelman, known for co-founding the iconic concept store Colette. Running from November 28th to December 20th, 2024, the event is hosted at Sotheby’s newly opened Le Salon, located at 83 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, a space designed to blend elegance with accessibility through its luminous interiors and glass-fronted facade.
The project celebrates the intersection of art, design, and skateboarding culture, inspired by the release of Skateboard Culture by Morgan Bouvant and Sébastien Carayol. Skateboarding’s influence on fashion, music, and design mirrors Andelman’s approach, which bridges tradition and modernity, exclusivity and playfulness.
Visitors can explore an eclectic collection of treasures, including contemporary art by Andy Picci, Ines Melia, Katerina Jebb, and PZ, alongside artisanal glassworks by creators such as Jonathan Hansen, Maison Balzac, and Helle Mardahl. Everyday designer objects from Gohar World and gourmet offerings from Sant Ambroeus and Palomas further enrich the experience.
Reflecting Andelman’s signature curatorial touch, the exhibition weaves individuality and creativity into a cohesive narrative. Vintage skateboards are displayed alongside luxury watches, jewelry, and handbags, all available for immediate purchase.
Blurring the boundaries between gallery and boutique, Attention, Fragile! invites visitors to immerse themselves in a world where art and design meet culture and commerce, making it a must-see destination in Paris this winter.
