Marina Abramović has partnered with fashion brand Massimo Dutti for a captivating collaboration unveiled during Miami Art Week 2024. Celebrating the intersection of art and fashion, the project includes a new book, Nomadic Journey and Spirit of Places, and an immersive exhibition at the Faena Hotel from December 5th to December 8th. Together, they offer an intimate exploration of Abramović’s nomadic life and creative process.
The book, available at select Massimo Dutti stores, merges archival material, poetry, and reflections, transforming Abramović’s hotel notebooks and temporary spaces into symbols of artistic reflection. “My home was everywhere I went because my home was my own body,” the artist states, capturing the essence of her nomadic existence. Printed with meticulous attention to detail, the book provides rare insight into Abramović’s world.
The exhibition, Nomadic Journey and Spirit of Places, presents never-before-seen drawings, poems, photographs, and archival material from Abramović’s four-decade career. It explores themes of endurance, human connection, and spiritual reflection, offering a glimpse into the artist’s enduring quest for authenticity. By collaborating with Massimo Dutti, Abramović highlights the dialogue between art and life, honoring the spirit of nomadic creativity.
