A solo exhibition of the famous architect Tadao Ando is being held at Museum SAN in South Korea. For the first time, Tadao Ando’s exhibition has taken place in a space designed by the architect himself, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the museum’s opening.
TTadao Ando-Youth offers fascinating insights into the architect’s creative challenges and philosophy. Ando’s architectural style is known for its minimalistic and contemporary design that blends in with the landscape yet stands out for its geometry and incorporation of concrete and light, creating a balance between modernity and simplicity. The exhibition is divided into four sections dedicated to key themes in Tadao Ando’s career, from the Naoshima Project to the newly constructed Space of Light meditation space.
The exhibition has been extended until the end of October 2023, as over 150,000 people have visited it since its opening in April. It is a remarkable opportunity to appreciate the architect’s early work and gain insight into his design philosophy. Find more information on the official website of the museum.
