Miu Miu Summer Reads returns to public gardens with a tribute to women writers

Miu Miu Summer Reads is back for its second edition, unfolding across open-air venues in five global cities. From June 27th to 28th, Miu Miu Summer Reads will take place in Beijing, Hong Kong, Milan, and Paris, followed by Osaka on June 28th–29th. This year, Miu Miu Summer Reads moves from boutique windows into lush public gardens, reimagining outdoor space as a stage for literary reflection and feminist thought.

The 2025 edition of Miu Miu Summer Reads celebrates storytelling by honoring two legendary women writers—Simone de Beauvoir and Fumiko Enchi. Their novels, The Inseparables and The Waiting Years, will be gifted to attendees in exclusive Miu Miu Summer Reads editions, featuring custom dust jackets, bookmarks, metal clips, and commemorative stamps.

Each city’s installation includes a custom ex-libris design and a curated color palette, making Miu Miu Summer Reads a multi-sensory experience. With its focus on women writers, the program bridges literature and design while highlighting voices that challenge and expand cultural narratives.

Miu Miu Summer Reads aims to place literature into everyday life, and through the lens of women writers, brings attention to the importance of female perspectives in literature. Entry is free, inviting the public to discover new stories, meet new ideas, and reflect—surrounded by beauty, books, and nature.
