For the last six years, Dior has partnered with Luma Arles and the Ecole Nationale Superieure de la Photographie in Arles (ENSP) to present the Dior Photography and Visual Arts Award for Young Talents. This event has become a significant part of Les Rencontres d’Arles, the annual international photography festival held in the south of France. The exhibition of the winners of the 6th edition of the Photography and Visual Arts Award for Young Talents is open to the public at Luma Arles until September 24.
The young generation of talented photographers, united by the annual theme Face to Face, presented photo and video works that reflected their unique creative spirit and revealed the principle of universality. The winners were chosen by a jury, which this year was chaired by Brazilian fashion photographer Rafael Pavarotti. The panel also includes Maja Hoffmann, President and Founder of LUMA Arles; Belgian photographer Barbara Iweins; and French art and photography historian Damarice Amao, accompanied by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup; and Simon Baker, Director of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris.
