This autumn, Simon Porte Jacquemus steps beyond the runway to debut Mythes, his curatorial project in Paris. Opening from October 20th to 24th, 2025, at the Collège des Bernardins, and continuing from October 30th to December 20th at Galerie Chenel and Galerie Dina Vierny, the exhibition brings together works from Antiquity with sculptures by Aristide Maillol in a dialogue between myth, form, and modernity.
An immersive art exhibition Paris 2025 experience
Conceived as an immersive journey, Mythes explores how ancient narratives resonate in the present. At the Collège des Bernardins—a medieval architectural landmark—visitors will encounter antique relics alongside Maillol’s marble and bronze figures, staged in an evocative reflection on timeless human expression. The second chapter unfolds on the Left Bank, where Galerie Chenel highlights the enduring presence of Antiquity in the modern imagination, while Galerie Dina Vierny positions Maillol’s sculptures as a bridge between classical tradition and twentieth-century innovation.
Simon Porte Jacquemus as curator
For Jacquemus, who has long drawn inspiration from art, architecture, and design, Mythes marks a natural extension of his practice. Known for staging fashion shows in settings such as Versailles, Villa Malaparte, and lavender fields in Provence, he now takes on the role of curator and scenographer. Previous collaborations—including a Christie’s exhibition in New York and immersive installations at the Puces de Saint-Ouen—have already hinted at his curatorial instincts. With Mythes, Jacquemus reaffirms his passion for storytelling across disciplines, positioning himself as a creative voice in both fashion and the broader cultural landscape.
