Under the banner Carhartt WIP x Salomon, the collaboration introduces a reworked version of Salomon’s X-ALP silhouette, blending performance-led construction with Carhartt WIP’s distinct approach to materiality and finish.
The new model is set for a global release on December 18th at 10:00 AM CET, available through salomon.com, carhartt-wip.com, brand stores, and selected retail partners worldwide.

Following their initial partnership, the second Carhartt WIP x Salomon collaboration builds on a mutual commitment to durability, precision, and real-world use. Both brands approach design through practicality—Salomon from a background in technical outdoor equipment, and Carhartt WIP from its long-standing relationship with hardwearing workwear adapted for modern life.
This shared philosophy shapes the latest project, which centers on refining an existing Salomon model rather than reinventing it. By revisiting the X-ALP, a silhouette associated with controlled movement and challenging terrain, the collaboration emphasizes longevity and performance over seasonal trend cycles.
Footwear design rooted in performance
At the core of the project is a considered approach to footwear design. The X-ALP Carhartt WIP features an upper constructed from grain-textured leather, chosen for its resilience, paired with suede overlays that add depth and reinforcement. Carhartt WIP’s signature camouflage is incorporated as a subtle accent rather than a dominant visual statement, appearing on key sections such as the tongue and heel.
