Danielle Frankel unveils her latest bridal shoe collection, blending comfort, elegance, and modern design. Launching February 12th, 2026, at Birkenstock 1774, Danielle Frankel boutiques, and select global retailers, the capsule collection reimagines iconic Birkenstock silhouettes for the bridal world.
Bridal shoe collection: concept and vision
This exclusive collaboration transforms classic Birkenstocks into sophisticated, pearl-adorned sandals and bespoke styles, reflecting Danielle Frankel’s signature aesthetic of dreamy textures and refined details. The collection features four reimagined Birkenstock classics—Madrid, Arizona, and Tulum—alongside two custom Danielle Frankel creations, including a hand-painted Boston clog and an Arizona sandal embroidered with chiffon blooms.
The collection balances practicality with romance: satin fabrics, pearl trims, and delicate embroidery elevate the utilitarian sandals into wearable bridal art. Perfect for pre-wedding celebrations, ceremonies, or stylish post-wedding wear, the designs marry comfort and beauty seamlessly.
Danielle Frankel’s personal story behind this footwear design
Danielle Frankel Hirsch, founder of the eponymous label, shares a personal connection with the collaboration: a longtime Birkenstock wearer, she tells WWD, “My entire family owns multiple pairs that we wear year-round. This partnership is rooted in my true admiration for the brand and its craftsmanship, which inspires how we shape Danielle Frankel as a brand.”
Frankel also emphasized the bespoke approach in footwear design, noting that custom and personalized looks are central to her business, and that with this collection, the same ethos is extended to shoes, creating pieces that feel personal, intentional, and timeless. She highlighted the first-ever buckle-less version of the Arizona sandal, describing it as a design innovation made possible through close collaboration with Birkenstock’s team.
