The program of the 62nd edition of Salone del Mobile, which will take place from 16 to 21 April at the Rho Fiera Milano spaces, will feature a variety of multicultural initiatives to enhance the design offer. This year’s highlights include novel efforts to capture current trends and engage different communities. In particular, the presence of David Lynch will add an unexpected and much-anticipated element to the Salone by paying tribute to interior design in two Thinking Rooms.
These spaces will serve as gateways to an immersive, contemplative experience, echoing Lynch’s signature mysticism and stillness, which have always been intertwined with design and furniture in his cinematic creations. The Thinking Rooms spaces symbolize a journey to the subconscious, to another world, where the interiors are an exploration of objects that can make us feel safe in our subconscious. Together with Lynch, the project is curated by director and writer Antonio Monda. The Piccolo Teatro di Milano is helping to bring Lynch’s concept to life in the form of a theatrical production.
We will be following this project with great curiosity as David Lynch will be the hero of our Spring/Summer 2024 edition!
