Perrotin will be unveiling a new gallery in Los Angeles during Frieze Week, with the first solo exhibition by Izumi Kato opening on the 28th of February. The gallery is located at 5036 West Pico Boulevard in the historic Del Mar Theatre. It retains key architectural elements from its former life as a performance venue while incorporating a modern design by architect Johnson Marklee. Founder Emmanuel Perrotin expressed his excitement at joining the vibrant cultural landscape of Los Angeles and expanding the gallery’s presence in the United States with a talented team.
