The new Bottega Veneta campaign, titled Craft is our Language, marks 50 years of the house’s signature Intrecciato weave—more than a design, a philosophy. Launched on May 29th and running through December 2025, this global campaign celebrates not only Italian craftsmanship but the expressive power of the hand.
Shot by Jack Davison and choreographed by Lenio Kaklea, the campaign unfolds across film and photography, capturing the dialogue between artisans and creatives through gesture, touch, and material. At the heart of this tribute is Intrecciato—not just as a technique, but as a metaphor for connection, tradition, and exchange.
The Bottega Veneta campaign gathers a cast of 18 talents from fashion, music, film, literature, and sport, including Zadie Smith, Julianne Moore, Jack Antonoff, Barbara Chase-Riboud, and Lauren Hutton. Alongside them, the brand’s artisans appear as central figures, reinforcing the house’s founding values of craft and collaboration.
Former Design Director Edward Buchanan and long-time muse Lauren Hutton serve as historical anchors, linking the past and present of Intrecciato. In Jack Davison’s lens, their stories intertwine with those of emerging global icons, all connected through gestures that transcend language.
This Bottega Veneta campaign doesn’t shout—it gestures. And in doing so, it honors a legacy where craftsmanship is never static but always evolving. September will bring a second chapter and a book of 50 hand gestures, turning the language of craft into a tactile dictionary of the house’s enduring values.
