Bottega Veneta has unveiled a month-long pop-up in London’s Harrods, running until October 2nd, 2025, to honor half a century of its signature design language: the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato weave. The installation is more than a retail space—it is an immersive journey into the Italian house’s heritage, craftsmanship, and spirit of experimentation.
Intrecciato Bottega Veneta: from atelier to pop-up store
At the heart of the project stands La Tavola, an architectural centerpiece modeled on the communal tables of Bottega Veneta’s workshops. The structure acts as both a display platform and a narrative device, allowing visitors to explore small leather goods, jewelry, fragrances, and even archival materials that reveal the intricacies of the Intrecciato Bottega Veneta technique. By making visible the usually hidden labor of weaving, the brand transforms its craft into a subject of study and celebration.
Design rooted in heritage
The pop-up’s design draws heavily on the woven motif itself. Concrete and Italian walnut furniture form an interlocking system reminiscent of the precise geometry of Intrecciato, while oversized leather-clad chairs echo the weave in sculptural proportions. The interior further references modernist architecture from Veneto, Bottega Veneta’s home region, tying the house’s aesthetic past to its contemporary vision.
Craft as Language
The visual storytelling is reinforced by Craft is Our Language, a campaign photographed by Jack Davison. The imagery centers on hand gestures—symbols of communication, intimacy, and artistry—reflecting the timeless gestures behind weaving. Inspired by Italian designer Bruno Munari, the campaign adorns the walls of the Harrods space, underscoring Bottega Veneta’s dedication to craft as both process and philosophy.
This pop-up is not simply a store; it is a living installation that bridges tradition and innovation, offering London an intimate glimpse into the enduring legacy of Bottega Veneta Intrecciato.
