At Design Miami.Paris 2024, Louis Vuitton is unveiling a groundbreaking exhibition celebrating the Objets Nomades collection and its 12-year partnership with Estúdio Campana. The show, hosted at the LV Dream space from October 14th, 2024, highlights both Estúdio Campana’s 40th anniversary and Louis Vuitton’s tradition of innovative design. It is divided into two main sections: a tribute to Estúdio Campana’s collaboration with Louis Vuitton and a showcase of a fully designed Louis Vuitton apartment.
On the ground floor, visitors can explore Estúdio Campana’s distinctive works for the Objets Nomades collection. Pieces like the Bomboca sofa, Bulbo chair, and the free-hanging Maracatu cabinet, all inspired by Brazilian culture, are displayed alongside a screening of the documentary We The Others. Humberto Campana reflects on the studio’s journey with Louis Vuitton, emphasizing their shared commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
In a special feature, Campana revisits the iconic Cocoon chair with six couture versions inspired by Brazilian folklore. The Cocoon Couture pieces, intricately crafted using luxurious materials like feathers, sequins, and embroidery, demonstrate the meticulous craftsmanship and cultural narratives behind each design.
Another standout is the Kaléidoscope Cabinet, an intricate work of leather marquetry that blends craftsmanship and imaginative design. This limited-edition piece is a nod to Louis Vuitton’s iconic trunks, combining functionality with an artistic trompe l’oeil effect.
The second part of the exhibition invites visitors into a fully furnished Louis Vuitton apartment, showcasing furniture from renowned designers like Franck Chou and Raw Edges. With elegant sofas, dining tables, and decorative objects, the space embodies the Maison’s sophisticated lifestyle.
This exhibition serves as a testament to Louis Vuitton’s enduring commitment to design innovation and the artistic celebration of travel.
