A new book by Comme des Garçons, the Japanese fashion label founded by Rei Kawakubo, features a retrospective of a series of window installations.
Rei Kawakubo is known for her revolutionary designs that challenge traditional notions of beauty. The creative spirit extends not only to the garments but also to the window displays, which are filled with a sense of freedom and anticipation. The book is a 302-page exploration of the brand’s philosophy and aesthetics as expressed through a series of window displays from 1989 to 2023. However, only VIP clients and friends of the brand will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in this artistic journey.
The artworks incorporated into the brand’s façade can be seen in the book and live in Comme des Garçons stores around the world.
