Amid a dense exchange between art, craft, and history, a new cultural space emerges along the Grand Canal as Dries Van Noten turns his attention beyond fashion. Following his departure from his eponymous label, he established the Fondazione Dries Van Noten in Venice—where the memory of Palazzo Pisani Moretta meets a shifting constellation of contemporary voices.
For our new issue, we visited the Fondazione and spoke with Dries about beauty as a form of resistance, the thinking behind The Only True Protest Is Beauty, and his ambition to foster a space where disciplines and generations intersect without constraint.
