As part of the vibrant atmosphere of Salone del Mobile, Capsule Plaza returns for the second year. Taking place in the iconic Spazio Maiocchi, the event promises to be a fusion of talks and exhibitions showcasing the best of design culture.
Capsule Plaza brings together designers and companies from different creative fields, offering a multi-sensory experience that includes interiors, architecture, technology and craftsmanship and is described as a hybrid between a trade fair and a collective exhibition. Harry Nuriev is one of them. At Spazio Maiocchi he presented a bold and, of course, ingenious project. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Saratoga sofa, created by Lella and Massimo Vignelli for their New York apartment. In honour of the anniversary, the sofa’s manufacturer, Poltronova, invited Harry Nuriev to reinterpret the Italians’ design. The artist used a unique technique called transforming.
