Exploring the limits of reality

Exploring the limits of reality

Created by Pierre Huyghe in collaboration with curator Anne Stenne, Liminal presents new creations and works from the past decade, including pieces from the Pinault Collection. Exploring the border between the human and the non-human, Huyghe sees his works as speculative fictions that open up new ways of understanding the world. The exhibition at Punta della Dogana is an evolving, dynamic environment inhabited by human and non-human entities forming fluid, ever-changing subjectivities. Huyghe’s vision for Liminal seeks to generate and explore new possibilities without adhering to hierarchy or determinism. It invites visitors to embrace alternative realities beyond the human perspective.

Bottega Veneta supports the project, and the attire for the artwork Idiom results from a partnership between Bottega Veneta’s creative director, Matthieu Blazy, and the artist.

The exhibition runs from 17 March to 24 November 2024. Visit the Punta della Dogana website for more details.
