George Rouy makes musical debut with original score for Sharon Eyal’s BODYSUIT

Painting, choreography and electronic sound converge in BODYSUIT, the first collaboration between choreographer Sharon Eyal and visual artist George Rouy. Ahead of its Paris premiere at Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse, Rouy releases the original score on limited-edition vinyl on November 18th, 2026, marking his musical debut.

A painting set in motion

Created for five dancers, BODYSUIT pairs Eyal’s precise, pulsating choreography with Rouy’s visual language. A monumental painting in oil, charcoal and chrome paint anchors the stage, while mirrored flooring, sculptural costumes, lighting and sound create a striking dialogue between body and image. The result oscillates between the uncanny and the visceral, formal precision and physical abandon.

Written, produced and performed by Rouy, the electronic score shapes the performance’s shifting atmosphere of tension, crisis and euphoria. The recording features Rouy on vocals, Liam Toon on drums, Carlos O’Connell on guitar and Felix Stephens on cello, with additional creative input from Oscar Defriez. Released through Untitled Records, the limited-edition vinyl offers an independent listening experience.

From London and Los Angeles to Paris

Following performances in London and Los Angeles in 2025, BODYSUIT arrives in Paris from November 18th to 21st, 2026 at Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse. Created by Rouy and Eyal, with Gai Behar as co-creator, the production was commissioned by Hannah Barry Gallery and co-produced with Hauser & Wirth.
