Jonathan Anderson, the Northern Irish designer known for his innovative and eclectic fashion designs, has curated a new exhibition called On Foot at Offer Waterman in London. Open to the public from September 18 to October 28, 2023, the display celebrates the city of London through art and fashion.
The exhibition is conceived as a journey through London, with each gallery space representing a different aspect of the city. From the Offer Waterman gallery on the streets of Mayfair to the JW Anderson’s store in the alleys of Soho, the exhibition captures the eclecticism and diversity of the UK capital.
The signature pigeon figure has also taken up residence in the storeroom, as JW Anderson has teamed up with Anthea Hamilton to create a new version of the renowed clutch. As a result, a limited-edition piece is now on display in the gallery where the exhibition is being held.
Anderson has collaborated with a wide range of artists for the exhibition, including Igshaan Adams, Frank Auerbach, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, and David Hockney, Leon Kossoff, Stanislava Kovalcikova, Florian Krewer, Doron Langberg, Jennifer Lee and L. S. Lowry.
On Foot is a unique opportunity to see Anderson’s work in a new context and to go beyond the urban flora of the city of London.
