Atelier La Folie’s artisans flow in a journey of creative waves, capturing the very essence of the traditional Japanese marbling technique to colour the collections for LEMAIRE. The unique prints are created by dropping ink into water and then artfully transferring it onto the surface of the paper. This process itself is called suminagashi (墨流し – flowing ink). With each brushstroke and every delicate swirl, new life is breathed into the fabric, awakening its dormant spirit with fervour and the enchanting pattern it weaves.
