Spanish luxury fashion house LOEWE has collaborated with Kyoto-based ceramic studio Suna Fujita to create a whimsical capsule collection, the first glimpse of which has been revealed in a short documentary film. The line features a variety of LOEWE’s signature bags, adorned with Suna Fujita’s hand-painted characters.
Founded by artists Shohei Fujita and Chisato Yamano, Suna Fujita is a ceramic studio that crafts fanciful and childhood memories with its whimsical and playful motifs. Their work often depicts pandas, penguins, lemurs, otters and even mandragora root characters inhabiting natural, cartoon-like landscapes. For the LOEWE collaboration, Suna Fujita has placed playful and sophisticated heroes on the Hammock Bag, as well as on the brand’s other signature pieces and holiday gifts.
Not only is the LOEWE x Suna Fujita collection stylish and fun, it is also socially conscious. A portion of the proceeds from the collection will be donated to Save the Children’s Education in Emergencies programme.
The collection is set to be available on the official LOEWE website from November 16.
