Gucci is set to unveil its latest cultural project, the Memoria exhibition, at Milan’s San Simpliciano monastery from 21st to 26th April, 2026. Building on the success of last year’s Bamboo Encounters, this exhibition further explores Gucci’s intersection of fashion and design, offering visitors an immersive journey through the brand’s 105-year history.
The concept behind the Gucci exhibition
Titled Memoria, this exhibition uses immersive installations and design-focused storytelling to bridge the past and the present, highlighting Gucci’s evolution. Creative Director Demna, who joined Gucci after presenting his final collection for Balenciaga, has curated the showcase. The project promises to combine the brand’s rich heritage with contemporary design narratives to give visitors a multi-sensory experience of craftsmanship, symbolism and innovation.
Milan Design Week 2026: Gucci’s Expanding Presence
Over the past few years, Gucci has steadily increased its participation in Milan Design Week. In 2024, the fashion house presented Design Ancora, and in 2025 it unveiled Bamboo Encounters. This year, the venue is the 16th-century San Simpliciano monastery in the Brera district, coinciding with Fuorisalone and the Salone del Mobile.
